Our Work

In Harmony’s mission is to support you on your journey as a caregiver for someone living with a neurocognitive disorder, bringing more joy and harmony to the caregiver journey. We intimately understand the needs and gaps in support for caregivers, and particularly those in the “sandwich generation” who are also caring for children.

In Harmony provides accessible, science-based tools and support that is curated for family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias, and other neurocognitive disorders.

We offer advice to caregivers to build their knowledge, understanding, and resilience, so that they can face the challenges ahead, while staying connected to their loved one.

We believe support for caregivers should be accessible to everyone, everywhere, anytime. Getting support shouldn’t complicate your life (it’s complicated enough).

Hilary’s Story

Hilary learned in high school that her mother would one day develop a degenerative  neurocognitive disorder. Her first thought was that she had time to fix it—maybe by becoming a superhero neuroscientist—before her mom got sick. Sadly, there is no superhero in this story.

After a career dedicated to economics, policy, and gender equality, Hilary has become a caregiver and prioritizes nurturing a loving and harmonious relationship with her mom. She co-founded In Harmony to provide the practical support that she wished she’d had when she started on the caregiving journey.

About Us

Hilary spent over a decade leading evidence-based research and content initiatives at The Economist Group before supporting gender equality projects at the World Bank Group. She is dedicated to ensuring that In Harmony provides science-backed strategies that actually work for caregivers. Hilary lives in sunny Denver with her husband, daughter, and Indy, a not-so-mini Mini Schnauzer.

Duncan is a long-time friend of Hilary who has a passion for mental wellness and building products and services that make a difference to people’s lives. He is also a recovering lawyer with an MBA from London Business School and lives in San Francisco with his wife, young son, and Pepe, his four-legged best friend.
